Everything Oga keeps stays on your Mac
Oga runs entirely on your machine. The only thing that ever leaves it is the work itself — the brief and the files you allowed — sent to the account you picked for it.
What Oga keeps, and where
Task records and task copies live under ~/.oga:
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| The work you've handed off, your workers, and project memories | ~/.oga/oga.db |
| One copy of your repository for each piece of work given its own branch | ~/.oga/worktrees/ |
What Oga's background service printed while the desktop app ran it, kept up to about 5 MB before it is set aside as broker.log.1 | ~/.oga/broker.log |
| Other local working state | ~/.oga/ |
Where a setting comes from
Settings come from three places. The first one that has an answer wins:
.oga.yamlin the project itself.~/.oga.yaml, your own settings for every project.- Oga's own defaults — the accounts it found and the rules it ships with.
Not having either file is normal. To see what a folder actually resolves to, and which file each setting came from:
oga config
Freeing disk space
oga cleanup shows what old work is holding and deletes nothing until you say so:
oga cleanup
oga cleanup --older-than 30d --delete
Only finished, archived work is eligible. Anything still running, anything waiting on you, and project memories are never touched. Cleanup can remove a clean task copy, but the branch remains.
None of this follows you between machines. On a new Mac, sign back into each provider tool and add your accounts again in Oga's Settings.
